Random thoughts from class D
game: by Carl Parker,
for MBR.ORG:
St. Joe's is a great campus
and atmosphere for playing
basketball.....the women's
college game, a buzzer
beater by the home team was
a great kick-off to the
event.....the class D girl's
game was just an indicator
of how much the girl's game
has improved over the last
25 years..... 2 point guards
that stood out in the class
D game were Olivia McNally a
junior from Kathadin and
Shelby Seales a senior from
Lubec.....Woodland's Julia
Nicholas and Ariel Knights
are aggressive hardnose
players......there is
talented size in the class
with 6' Audra Eaton from
Deer Isle, 5'11" Kelly

Christian, and 5"10" Kasi
Parker from Greater Houlton
Christian Academy all of who
are seniors......Jonesport
has another talented Beal in
BreAnna a talented big
guard.....Valley will have 3
with years two hardworking
aggressive sophomores, Cindy
Schultz a point guard whose
game looks to be modeled
after the Baker girl who
played at Valley a few years
ago, and Jocelyn Laweryson
avery tenacious competitor
who seemed to get every
loose ball......Megan Deraps
and Megan Christy proved
that Richmond will be a team
to contend with in the
west..... Buckfield with 4
girls Ashlee Hamman a good
little point guard, Emily
Eastman a big guard with
good shooting range, Lindsey
Henderson a solid inside out
player and Abby Jones a post
presence on the defensive
end may be the west
favorite.

point range, and see the court well, with Pelliter being an
excellent on ball defender.....Orono has two young players to build
around in Jade Keezer a talented point guard who has a good
handle, sees the court well, and has the ability to shot and create
her own shot....Elizabeth Fox is the other a solid young player who

GSA is a tremendous offensive player who also has the tools to
defend a prospect college coaches should be watching....Narraguagus

for opponents in match-ups....Stearns Kirsten Marter is an
aggressive player who showed a nice touch.....Courtney Hill Sr. from
Calias showed a lot of spunk which has always been characteristic of
players from that fine program.....Andi Flannery Jr. from WA looked
good in the pick and roll game, was very aggressive and did little
things necessary to help a team be successful.....Both sophmore bigs,
Allaina Murphy , St. Dom's and Taylor Massey, Hall-Dale played well

screens, and competes..... Jonesport has 2 talented players who have
the ability to score in Matt and Justin Alley....Walker Cooper from
